INTRODUCTION

Emily Chu is a classically-trained pianist and music teacher born and raised in Vancouver, BC, and based in Sydney, Australia. She was enrolled in the Evening Division Program at the Juilliard School of Music and studied with Dr. Julie Jordan and Liz Huang. She has studied music previously with Winfried Rompf and Edward Parker at the British Columbia Conservatory of Music in Burnaby.

Emily has been operating her own private piano studio since the fall of 1995, upon completing grade 10 in the Royal Conservatory of Music. The following few years were significant in expanding her musical knowledge in performance

while preparing for her Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (ARCT) diploma. She is currently working on an L.Mus from the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB).

She has been extremely fortunate to have had the past decade to develop her skills as both a performer and teacher, thanks to the growing demand of talented students in the community. Her studio currently consists of students ranging from ages 5 – 18, in beginner levels up to Associate level.

She is currently a freelance performing pianist and is able to travel around the Sydney area. Please contact Emily for a consultation on how she can best tailor her services to meet your specific entertainment needs, or if you would like to inquire about piano lessons for your child.
